Strategy

Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI", being one of the leading educational, scientific and cultural centers, is well known both in Russia and abroad. ETU "LETI" sets the following strategic objectives:

  • To provide fundamental knowledge, specific applied training, self-study, and professional mobility skills to students and graduates who will be capable to make a considerable contribution to the industry, science, education and sustainable cultural development
  • To elaborate fundamental and applied science for the further improvement of higher education
  • To improve international cooperation and extending export of services in academic, scientific and cultural areas

Rector`s message

Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" was the first institute of higher education in Europe with major in electrical engineering. Today it is one of the best technical universities in Russia.

ETU "LETI" starts to influence the economy of our region and system of professional teaching, building a mechanism of network cooperation in education and science with academic research institutes, universities and high-technology industries.

ETU "LETI" generates, applies and generalizes new scientific knowledge in dynamically developing teaching process. ETU "LETI" gives students not only fundamental high-quality education but all necessary skills, oriented on practical activity for the future career of its graduates. Creating conditions for personal growth and creative development, ETU "LETI" prepares students for successful careers, improving modern life for young people.

Today, Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" is in the lead in education and science, as it was founded more than 130 years ago. Our success is a result of contribution of many generations of teachers and scientists who worked in ETU "LETI". We are proud of our history, we respect our traditions and we do think about the future. We look forward to positive changes and pioneering ideas.
