The distance learning period is extended until the end of the academic year at ETU "LETI"
Viktor Sheludko, Rector of ETU "LETI," signed an order to extend the distance learning period until the end of 2019/2020 academic year.
Changes in the educational process in ETU "LETI" in the spring term of 2019/2020 academic year aim to ensure the health safety of students and employees of the university in connection with the spread of a novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
According to the order, all Bachelor's, Specialist's, Master's, and Postgraduate programs will be conducted only remotely following the curricula approved for 2019/2020 academic year until August 31, 2020.
If the organizations and companies, where students undertake an internship, agree to continue the internship remotely, then, if necessary, an additional agreement to the contract for student internships with the wording "to continue the organization of internships remotely from March 16, 2020" will be concluded with them. If it is not possible to conduct a spring term practice remotely, the practice or part of it will be rescheduled to the next academic year. Proposals on the rescheduling of an internship should be submitted by the heads of departments by April 25, 2020. Senior students will be able to undertake internships at the university.
In case of rescheduling of internships to the next academic year, the evaluation based on them will take place in the fall term of the next academic year. The corresponding changes will be made to the curricula until April 30, 2020.
Until April 23, 2020, heads of the departments will present the list of disciplines and the names of lab classes that are impossible to implement remotely. The feasibility of changing the terms and forms of such lab classes will be considered until April 28, 2020.
Students with unfulfilled program requirements can re-sit remotely from April 20, 2020, until the beginning of the credit week of the current term.
In the spring term of the current academic year, exams will be carried out only remotely following the approved curriculum and the schedule of the exams.
The lecturers who teach the spring term disciplines for the non-senior students will prepare and present a curriculum for the tests and exams to the heads of departments until April 27, 2020.
