ROSNANO and ETU: digital technologies for cultural sphere

ETU "LETI" developed the educational program in the field of technology of radio-frequency tags (RFID) in cultural institutions by request of Fund of infrastructure and educational programs.

In September, 2017 training of the first 100 experts in the field of technology of radio-frequency tags (RFID) in cultural institutions came to the end. ETU “LETI” was the developer of the educational program for the order of Fund of infrastructure and educational programs with the assistance of specialists of Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Higher School of Economics and The State Hermitage.

Russian companies developing and advancing RFID solutions also joined the project (LLC Tekhnologii Identifikatsii, LLC RHB-Engineering, LLC NPT RHB-Prodakt and others).

Use of RFID tags already became habitual to the modern person: in shops, on production, in warehouses, in transport small stickers tags perform functions of tracking of the movement, storage of information, work with admissions, protection against thieves and unique identifiers.

This technology can also be successfully applied in museums, archives, libraries, other cultural institutions to the solution of the tasks connected with preservation, accounting, restoration, transportation and promoting of cultural heritage of Russia.

The program of professional development developed especially for experts of the sphere of culture considers integrated approaches to development of IT infrastructure, digitization and management of digital resources, automation of the activity connected with accounting of  museum, library and archival stocks with the use of RFID technology, questions of safety of museum objects and collections in storage and expositions on the basis of use of RFID technology.

Training provides both the correspondence (remote) and internal part. Deputy Director of Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts for IT Vladimir Opredelenov, Deputy CEO of the State Hermitage Alexey Bogdanov and Bernard Greiner, the sales and marketing director of the EDITAG company (France) were invited to holding lectures, seminars and practical works.

Heads of cultural institutions, private collectors, staff of libraries, museums, security companies not only from Moscow, but also from other regions of Russian entered the first group of listeners. Upon completion of training, besides relevant knowledge and skills of work as the modern RFID equipment and tags, all participants received the certificate of professional development of the state sample.



The fund of infrastructure and educational programs was created in 2010 according to the Federal law No. 211-FZ "About reorganization of Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies". The purpose of activity of Fund is development of innovative infrastructure in the sphere of nanotechnologies, including realization of educational and infrastructure programs, which are already begun by RUSNANO.
