Experts Choose ETU "LETI": The First Electrotechnical University Has Strengthened Its Position in the RUR Reputation Rankings
In the new edition of RUR Reputation Rankings, ETU "LETI" advanced significantly in terms of teaching and research reputation.
Russian Round University Ranking agency has published a RUR Reputation Rankings for 2020. St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" took 425th place in the world, climbing 65 positions compared to last year.
The greatest increase is in teaching reputation: in a year, ETU "LETI" moved up 82 positions. The university has been improving this indicator for two years in a row and now ranks 399th in the world.
Also, ETU "LETI" bolstered its standing in terms of research reputation - from 525th place to 466th (climbing 59 positions).
"This year, we have beaten several leading Russian and foreign universities, including those that hold leading positions in the Project 5-100. Significant progress in the ranking against serious competition is a great success of the LETI team."
According to analysts, all aspects of the university work play a role in achieving success in the reputational ranking: participation in international scientific collaborations, researchers' presentations at reputable international conferences, the success of graduates in the labor market, a developed network of academic and industrial partners, PR-communications and media activity of the university.
Despite the restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ETU "LETI" staff continues to work actively in all areas necessary to strengthen the reputation of the university as a world-class global research and academic center.
RUR Reputation Rankings is prepared based on data from a survey of teachers and researchers received from Clarivate Analytics. Respondents select universities with what they considered to be the highest level of teaching and research.
In total, the RUR Reputation Rankings includes 829 universities from 72 countries. The leaders are American universities: Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Stanford University.
