“The meeting was productive. We discussed the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects. The cooperation of our universities has broad prospects for both parties. The University of Cadiz offered us its information resources for publications. International cooperation today is a powerful lever for the development of global higher education and science. If we talk about grant support, it is also mostly focused on international projects. Therefore, the partnership of our two universities is seen as mutually beneficial in all areas of inter-university activities.”

Irina Vezhenkova, Deputy Head of the Department of Engineering Environmental Protection for Academic Work
During the visit, representatives discussed the prospects of cooperation between universities in the field of education, science, and culture. Currently, two main documents have been prepared and submitted for signature to the international department of the University of Cadiz - the general partnership agreement between the two universities and the agreement on the academic mobility of students. Both documents imply the implementation of joint scientific and educational programs.
Parties prepared a draft agreement on the opening of double postgraduate/doctoral programs on the basis of the Department of Engineering Environmental Protection (ETU “LETI”), the Department of Environmental Protection Technologies (University of Cadiz), and the Renewable Energy Laboratory (University of Cadiz).

In the nearest plans of universities - to discuss the possibilities of opening the double-degree master program and the summer school in Technosphere Safety. Partners will be able to discuss these issues in two weeks: in early July, the first part of a joint online course on solar panel recycling technologies will be recorded at ETU “LETI.”

The cooperation of the Saint Petersburg Electrotechnical University “LETI” with the University of Cadiz began three years ago. The first joint project was a course in Spanish for students and teachers of ETU “LETI.” This summer, students will go to the summer school at the University of Cadiz for the third time.
