ETU "LETI" introduces additional security measures for students and employees
Viktor Sheludko, Rector of ETU "LETI," issued an order on additional measures for safety of employees, students of the university, and people living in ETU "LETI" dormitories in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The order prescribes all students and employees of the university strictly comply with the prescribed norms of behavior under the Decree of the Government of St. Petersburg "On Measures to Prevent the Spread of Novel Coronavirus Disease in St. Petersburg."
In particular, it is prohibited to leave the place of stay or residence except in cases of emergency medical care and other situations involving a threat to life and health. It is allowed to go to the nearest place of purchase of goods and services, the sale of which is not restricted by a city government decree. It is also allowed to leave the house to take out the waste and walk dogs at a distance of no more than 100 meters from the place of residence.
Students of ETU "LETI" are recommended to stop working outside the university, including those activities that are not prohibited by the Decree of the Government of St. Petersburg. Students who find themselves in a difficult financial situation as a result of stopping their work will receive partial financial support from the university.
"Taking into account the hazard of the spread of disease in the university dormitories even by one student, and assessing the extreme danger of its consequences for all people living in this dormitory, I consider it necessary to oblige students living in university dormitories and other buildings rented as dormitories, to stop any work carried out outside the dormitory, and to forbid them to leave the dormitory, except the cases of emergency medical care, visiting the nearest groceries, or taking out the waste."
In case of leaving the dormitory, people living and working in the dormitory are obliged to observe measures to prevent the spread of a novel coronavirus disease: use disposable silicone gloves, a special mask to protect the face, face shields, safety goggles.
Students, registered and residing in dormitories, but who have left the dormitory for the period of distance learning, will be exempted from payment for the accommodation.
When moving around St. Petersburg, while staying in public places and places of residence or dormitories, students and employees of the university are required to keep a distance to other citizens of at least 1.5 meters.
The access mode in university dormitories has been strengthened. People who do not live in the dormitory are not allowed to enter it.
The decree clarifies that there is administrative and criminal liability for violation of self-isolation mode and failure to comply with the rules of conduct in conditions of a coronavirus pandemic, which is punishable by a fine of 15 thousand to 40 thousand rubles.
If by the fault of the person, there was a mass infection or poisoning of people, the guilty person will be punished by the fine from 500 thousand to 1 million rubles or the income during the period from three to five years, or imprisonment for the period up to three years.
