Academic mobility programmes as a part of international and cross-cultural communication play a significant role in realizing ETU’s academic and research potential, representing the university at the world stage and helping break down barriers and stereotypes that hinder ETU’s future development. The development and support of various academic mobility programs is a significant element in achieving such goals.

Double degree programmes

A double degree programme involves a student's working for two different university degrees in parallel, either at the same institution or at different institutions (sometimes in different countries), completing them in less time than it would take to earn them separately.

FIRST

The Finnish-Russian Student Exchange Programme – FIRST promotes partnership and reciprocal mobility of students and teachers between Higher Education Institutions in Finland and in North-Western Russia.

SPITSE

The project SPITSE is the trilateral Strategic Partnership of engineering research departments of Ilmenau University of Technology (Germany), St. Petersburg Electrotechnical University "LETI" (Russia), and the National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" (Russia) for joint education and research.
