International Summer Schools at ETU “LETI”

We invite you to visit St. Petersburg during the most favorable season – in summer. At this time our city pleases guests with green parks and fountains, palaces and monuments, and simply good weather. You will have a chance to make a trip to one of the most beautiful cities of the world.

In summer in St. Petersburg you will have the opportunity to see white nights, have a walk on rivers and canals, enjoy drawbridges and tother interesting things. Here you will be able to see the best examples of architecture of baroque, classicism, eclecticism and modernist style. You will feel the history of imperial Russia and spirit of revolutions of the XX century, you will have a chance to adjoin to tercentenary history of the cultural capital of Russia.

Our university offers you a set of summer programs of training. We invite you to summer schools of intensive studying of Russian as a foreign language and schools on development of professional knowledge and skills in the highly skilled academic environment of our city.

  • Unique combination of obtaining professional knowledge and immersion in Russian life, culture and history through excursions, etc;
  • Classes are held at ETU "LETI", in classrooms and laboratories, as well as outside audiences: excursions around St. Petersburg and the suburbs, visits to museums and cultural sites are included in the program;

This program pays the most attention to spoken Russian language. A considerable amount of learning sessions are held outdoors. Students are provided with guided tours and training sessions in the urban environment. Students attend museums and sightseeing attractions of St. Petersburg and its suburbs. In the course of such learning sessions they get acquainted with Russian cultural heritage and immerse themselves in Russian language. Group programs could be developed upon preliminary agreement. The full course lasts for 1 weeks and 36 academic hours.

This program is a perfect fit for an under- and postgraduate student with a liberal arts major. The program includes such courses as Russian history and culture. It enables students to learn or recall major events of Russian history, get to know gems of Russian culture, practice Russian and experience St. Petersburg easily and naturally. The full course lasts 2 weeks and 72 academic hours.

3. Intensive Course of Russian for Beginners (level A1)

Our university holds an intensive course of Russian as a foreign language. A person who first came to Russia and took a deep dive into the world of the unknown might find this course useful to start understanding what is going on around him or her: read and understand signs, ask strangers for directions, understand their replies and speak. The course lasts for 4 weeks or 120 academic hours.

4. Intensive Course of Russian Upperintermediate level (А2-В1 level)

This intensive course is designed for students who have previously studied Russian from 6 to 18 months and have basic knowledge of grammar, phonetics and vocabulary of the Russian language. The program will help you improve your knowledge, accumulate a significant vocabulary, develop reading and speaking skills. Considerable attention is paid to learning the understanding of Russian speech by ear.The full course lasts for 4 weeks or 120 academic hours.

5. Intensive Course of Russian for Master and Postgraduate Students (В2-С1 level)

This intensive course is designed for students who have previously studied Russian for 12 to 24 months, already know grammar, phonetics and have decent vocabulary. Classes in this program will help you to improve knowledge, expand vocabulary, develop spoken language in Russian. Considerable attention is paid to learning the understanding of Russian speech by ear, scientific translation. Emphasis is made on the development of special knowledge in different areas of study (technical, economic, humanitarian training profile). The full course lasts for 3-4 weeks or 80 academic hours.
