Department of Automatic Control Systems

The current Department of Automatic Control Systems was established in 2008 by merging the Department of Automatic Control Systems (founded in 1947) and the Department of Electrification and Automation of Ships (founded in 1930).

The main areas of the research of the department:

  • Adaptive and intelligent control systems for industrial and special mechanical objects with elastic deformations;
  • Automated mobile equipment for ensuring the safety of aircraft landing;
  • Adaptive and intelligent control of electric power, electromechanical, and electrohydraulic systems;
  • Electric power complexes and systems;
  • Equipment for control and automation of mobile objects and industrial systems.
