The Department of Economics of Technological Entrepreneurship was established on the basis of the Department of Economic Theory in 2023. The basic courses of the department provide training of economists and managers in any field.
The courses "Economic Theory," "Microeconomics," and "Macroeconomics" are fundamental disciplines for gaining economic knowledge in the system of higher education around the world. During the courses students form an economic way of thinking and acquire basic knowledge about the economic system.
The master's program "Leadership and Technology Entrepreneurship" is aimed at preparing leaders who are able to develop innovative engineering solutions and manage business processes in high-tech organizations. The department organizes practice-oriented training in technological entrepreneurship and business project management, attracting strategic partners from large industrial companies of the region to the educational process.
Since 2022, the department has been headed by Professor Nina Shashina, Doctor of Economics.
