Extension of Registration and Student Visa

Please do not forget to submit documents to the Office of Visas and Registrations (office 3423-1) not later than 45 days before the end of your visa / registration!
To extend registration and student visa, you should bring the following documents:

If you live at a private address, you need to make registration by yourself and confirm at the university that you have a valid registration at the place of residence. Please do not forget to promptly renew the registration at a private address and send each new registration to the email address of the International Student Office: 2343553@mail.ru
In accordance with Federal Law No. 163-ФЗ of June 27, 2018, registration of foreign citizens is carried out strictly at the place of their actual residence.

A new law has been issued by the Russian Government on December 29 of 2021. You may see the text of this law here (in Russian): Federal law issued on July, 1 of 2021, № 274-ФЗ, “Amendment of the Federal Law “On legal status of foreigners staying within the territory of the Russian Federation” and Federal Law issued on July, 25 of 1998, № 128-ФЗ “On applying dactylographic registration within the territory of the Russian Federation”..

Starting December 29, 2021 all foreign citizens entering the Russian Federation for the purposes of studying, for a period over 90 calendar days, have to undergo an obligatory dactylographic registration, photographing, and medical examination within the period of 90 calendar days from the moment of entering the Russian Federation.

In order to follow the aforementioned law, all foreign citizens entering Russian Federation after 29.12.2021 for the purposes of studying at ETU “LETI”, are obligated to:

  1. Apply to the establishment under the jurisdiction of the territorial authority of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russian Federation (ФГУП «Паспортно-визовый сервис» МВД России), located at: Saint Petersburg, Krasnogo Tekstil’shika street, building 10-12 block B (enter №2 from the yard) for the purposes of undergoing dactylographic registration, photographing, and medical examination. The following documents are required: - passport;
    - migration card;
    - student card.

    Cost of service:
    - Photographing: 350 RUR (digital photo, do not bring your own photos);
    - Medical examination: 4 900 RUR (this price is offered only to students);
    - Dactylographic registration: free of charge (you can not proceed without depositing medical samples for medical examination);

    You have to repeat your medical examination exactly in 1 year from the day you received your medical examination results. Upon expiration, all foreign citizens have to apply for a medical examination personally and on their own within the period of 30 calendar days.

  2. You can pass your medical examination in any medical facility authorized to issue the needed documents (see list of accredited medical institutions here on the ГУ МВД по г. СПб и ЛО site).

In case of desertion of undergoing the obligatory State dactylographic registration, photographing, and/or medical examination, foreign citizens shall be put under consideration for reduction of their allowed number of days of their temporary residence in Russian Federation.
